Those overworlds are unusable due to png alpha transparency and you put them on pink backgrounds.

where is transparency? what is wrong with pink?
Their shadows blend into the pink background.

I know. This way takes up less space, than a fullblown alpha channel.
Yes, but they are useless. You can't use them on anything except to be seen on the sheet.

You should really read some Photoshop tutorial. Especially these on color space manipulation.
Since everyone who may think about using these will want to go through the trouble of photoshopping the color space?
Seriously, your argument is ridiculous. The whole point of TSR is serving sprites in a mostly convenient way and with high accuracy to the originals. While it is not always possible to get a good rip for a perfect sheet, it's just awkward to make a bad sheet when you could actually easily make a good one.

Hello! Alternatively they can go through the trouble of disassembling the game executable, extracting sprite handling code and then photoshopping the color space. And no, they cant rip them from screenshots, because there is some edge antialiasing code, IIRC.
