Doduo is way more Kiwi than Psyduck is Platypus.

Psyduck is a duck for god sake.

It evolves into Golduck, which is also a duck.

It's not a fucking platypus what the hell.

Edit: Bulbapedia says it's inspired on a platypus, I still call that bullshit. I think they would make a platypus pokémon look more like one, beaver tail and all that.

It has claws. The TY Beanie Baby Platypus didn't have a tail. I love Platypuses and would like to see a more platypus like Pokemon but I have to admit Psyduck is rather platypus based.

Why does Farfetch'd being a duck make Psyduck and Golduck any less duck? There are multiple turtles and tortoises so I don't understand your position.

Especially considering the names are pretty explicit here: Psyduck and Golduck.

If you say Psyduck really quickly over and over again it sounds like "Psyduckbilledplatypus"

While I agree he's Platypus inspired (and that the Farfetch'd being a duck argument is pointless) but another, more Platypus inspired, Pokemon would be cool.

I don't think Psyduck is a Platypus. psyDUCK. SEE there's duck in his name. AND he evolves to a blue DUCK right?

There, it's based off both a duck and a platypus so both sides are right. Don't know why you all had to make an argument about it but Jesus Christ everyone it wouldn't kill you all to do some research
