I've been super unmotivated lately so I thought I'd try for something simple.
looks incredibly thin

They aren't very thick to begin with.
Well, the new bloopers are pretty thin so he's got it right.
I think the bottom of his tentacles should have some more shading going on. That way it gives more shape to them. Love that animation!
The bottoms of the tentacles? I could try. I was trying to keep it simple to avoid any readability issues but I'll see if I can work with it.

Was this what you meant? Also, I made a few changes to the sprite itself here and there, plus I changed up a few frames altogether.
I actually prefer the original...
In terms of the shading I added or the animation changes? Personally I like the animation changes. I'm indifferent on the shading.
The animation changes are good, I meant the shading.
The lack of tentacle shading gave it a nicer look than the shaded one in my own opinion.
I prefer the tentacle shading myself.
Gonna do the pink version from SMB1 for SNES?
I forget, what did the pink version do? Wasn't it able to move in the air? I may instead make a Booper, a ghost Blooper.
It was out of water and had weird thorny things on it. http://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/su...sheet/6195
The original white blooper also had those "thorns". I believe they were actually meant to represent suction cups or something. Either way, I'll probably do a ghost version of a Blooper instead of the pink one since I can't think of any levels it would work in (since this is for Midas Machine).

Went for a bed sheet ghost reference instead of basic tentacles. May change the head. I was trying to make the fin things look torn but it didn't come out right.
