Hmm... that is a tough one. Maybe give it more contrast?? I'm not sure, exactly
"GooSock" doesn't look much like goo, the design looks too solid and complex for a Gooey replacement, it looks more like a floating head.
that's what i thought too. Though, gooey himself doesn't look like goo in a single frame, but rather on his animations. If you make her bounce exaggerately and make the shape wobble in some frames will help greatly.

also more contrast between hair/head.

i have no idea what i want to do with these, if anything, but if i ever make more of them, i'll definitely animate angooey like gooey.

so, i upped the contrast a little between her and her hair, and i also figured out how to make her look more gooey.

try making it shiny so it looks more liquidy
Its better and has the right expression but it still looks like a severed head. In all honesty I think a blob with hair is always going to look like a head.
thanks for showing up to tell me nothing i didn't already know

i'm getting really fed up with the response here. gors was the only person to give anything constructive; everybody else is just saying "doesn't look like goo" and completely missing the point, or "looks like a head" and not saying if that's a bad thing or not.

i'm basing this off gooey [Image: 1Qnse.png] and angie [Image: S4AE4.png]

gooey does not look goo-like in appearance; it's represented in his animation.

as goemar said, angooey is a blob with hair so of course she's going to appear to be a severed head. is that an issue? what else am i going to do in this case? i wanted to have the hair because, in this case, there isn't really anything else i could slap on gooey that would cause people to make the connection to angie.

if this concept just can't work, period, then please tell me.
Yeah guys I mean, wait until he animates it. I know it'll start looking like Gooey once she starts becoming bouncy and blobby and he gives her a long tongue. Cute
Angie would be better off as a Warp Star
Yeah Virt but that would be predictable. Why can't she be Gooey? Make it different.
Try removing the ear and kinda smashing the character to give it that squishy feel
heres my edit

Its gooey so I feel an ear would naturally give it a "head" feel to the sprite
angie is gooey because we player kirby's dream land 3 a while back and i'm only just now realizing that i should do this.

i see your point, virtuaboy, though i'm not sure if i'm keeping the googly eyes. i'll mess around with the hair shape for a bit and make googly- and non-googly-eyed variants.
Sheesh calm down buddy Genki ^_^
I think some people here just didn't catch the gooey reference? He's not a too well-known character to the young ones, I suppose so they tried to give some advice on how to make it look like goo...

Personally, I'm not sure if a humanoid character can be transformed into a gooey properly with the given characteristics. I mean, I can't say I really see StarSock in there or anything else but a severed head and I don't think there's much you can do about that.

Well, there's always the Jelly Boy games you can look at for a refrence, as it does that as well. This is an intresting concept though.
