as of this post, i currently have a raw version of a song up, and a 90% finished song (the temple in the sea) in my soundcloud.

downloads are free if you like it!

but i should warn you that it's very different from "traditional" sound-- lots of distortion and droning

edit: i also highly recommend you listen to the songs in full in order to get the true "experience" (wow that's a really pretentious way to say it)

LISTEN TO THE EP WITHOUT LEAVING THE FORUMS (WOW):

hot off the mixer: "roar of the phoenix"

They remind me of certain video game soundtracks (Portal, Silent Hill, ...)
I guess they'd be well-suited for horror games where you want to create tension and suspense.
thanks buddy, that's sort of the sound i went for with this EP Smile

PS - full EP is now available for download on bandcamp! http://solarinception.bandcamp.com/
the EP took me two days to write.
I'm actually really digging this stuff.

Question, though: would you say making this sort of ambient music is harder than making more traditional music?
I wouldn't say so-- if anything, getting the mix Just Right is the hardest part.
I'm not a fan of this type of music, so I don't have much to add aside from this sounding interesting.

It could indeed fit in a game or something as background ambient music, so you were spot-on imo Smile
