The fact that you see no difference between God of War and Castlevania suggests to me that you have not played either game for any significant amount of time or played them with such a negative stigma that such an exercise was pointless. But well...

Mr Skeleton I'm not going to continue this discussion because well man, you sound like a jerk. Having an opinion is one thing, but how your going about it is just so disrespectful such a discussion would be nothing more about how right you think you are. I would seriously consider being less condescending in future posts if you actually want a meaningful dialogue.

I don't care if people don't like God of War, but this is just ridiculous. Just because we're on the internet doesn't mean you have a right to be rude.
Wow, the amount of passive agressiveness on this thread is incredibly high.

Also @ people who have been saying that the Klink line is good...I-I know how gears work and all that, but...but...it's still seems lazy! Something about it rubs me off in the wrong way. If they were slightly on an angle on every new evolution (like Magneton), maybe I wouldn't find it that much. The concept of a machine Pokémon which just get new parts is kinda cool, but it could have been done better, idk. Also the shading is almost exactly the same, I checked it several times (but didn't see any difference until you pointed it out, heh).

Now back to E3

Didn't watch the Konami conference I had to sleep, but i'll catch it when I'm back I hope Sad
Sonic is going to have a port of SA2 that will hopefully be shown on E3.
Konami "conference" was less a conference and more a video they made with a few trailers in it. The inbetweeny bits are boring and pointless.
And about football (soccer)

Just watch the trailers separately, it's just quicker.
It would be interesting to see what they do with the next Lords of Shadow game just because the ending was so smegging weird. I doubt it'll be good and will no doubt upset people who follow the history of the series (even though it isn't canon) but it'll probably kill a few hours when I pick it up from the bargain bin.

I still wished they'd do a new "classic" Castlevania game but well that's as likely as a 2D Metroid game at this point I reckon.

I remember the only think that made me genuinely excited last E3 was Rayman, but as the second one is known about now I can't see it having the same effect.
I already played through Lords of Shadow 1, I don't think I can play through another one.

At least it was better than God of War II.

and, just so you know:
Quote:Yes it's a dumb shallow game but it's also extremely polished, well designed and fun with a strong combat system.
no, it isn't. its combat system is incredibly weak - thats the point of the statements outing it as shallow. its not a stupid "ur hur hur gore" statement, thats meaningless. if you don't understand my statement try reading the article i posted again. and to suggest that it is polished - when the model for the colossus of rhodes doesn't even have feet, ankles, or calves - is absurd. it isn't even hard to see that detail - you just walk forward a little bit in the arena you fight him on. that is a microscopic representation of everything that is wrong with that game.

also goemar

did you know taht if i shoot yo, and its my opinion that it didnt hurt you, NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, my opinion cannot be considered wrong? thats what you just told me Smile
You know what's fun? Not talking about God of War.

An opinion can't be wrong. If you shot someone and for some reason your opinion was it didn't hurt your opinion would still be a valid one. Yes it would be wrong if you said "It didn't hurt" but saying "I don't think it hurt" can not be false as there is nothing to disprove. As like when some one says "I don't like strawberries." It is what it is.

Being shot is not the same as whether a game is good or not. There is no FACT that a game is good or not. Claiming that God of War is crap because you THINK it is does make it a fact. Your are not a divine being, you cannot make your opinions about a game into a fact and by doing so your just being disrespectful. Learn some manners.
Seriously guys, let's try to stay on topic here. Nobody gives a shit about what you're talking about besides you two and people who like argument stirring.
You're both just coming across as jackasses.

I've decided that all I want to see is the OS of the Wii U. Everything else can piss off at the moment...
No, but reality is objective and people are a consistent race with a consistent mind and we have to understand what the consequences of those two facts are. The entire reason that art works is because there is a communal basis for it to work; a general aggregate of experiences and of understanding between most if not all human beings that would be viewing it.

"I don't like strawberries", despite being a statement of opinion and perspective, is not entirely subjective. there are reasons that that someone would like strawberries - their taste buds, memories, general experience, any number of objective things. even though it is a statement of opinion, it is still perfectly capable of being false because all subjective statements are still intrinsically based upon objective things. someone can lie about their opinion - and say that they like strawberries when they don't - and that would make that an objectively false statement.

Quote:Claiming that God of War is crap because you THINK it is does make it a fact.
nope, not because "i think it is", but because i've dissected and argued the objective facts that comprise its being. i could be wrong, but i sincerely doubt that because no one thus far has been able to refute a single thing i've said about the game. thats called being part of a discourse, and pretending to have a meaningful opinion - i.e., one that means something in the grander scheme of things, one that is based on objective facts and intelligent reasoning - while you are separated from that discourse doesn't really have much worth. You can have your opinion, sure, but I think there are different levels of worth and importance here.

So either try that again, admit that you were wrong, or post-pone to try and think about it more to come up with something better, or w/e. up to you.

E3:
all i've really seen is the lords of shadow 2 trailer

and that looks potentially dumber than the first game
Neir, look man - I seriously don't care any more. Your speaking to me like crap and that's just not right so leave it alone. At this point I'm too offended by the awful attitude your displaying to take part. I seriously just can't believe that you see how your saying things is acceptable.

Take that as a victory if you want, gloat how much more intelligent your are and enjoy your moment of online bullying and being disrespectful - go you.

Welcome back to the community Goemar... welcome back... seriously I don't know why I fucking bother at times.
people shouldn't be offended about others' opinions about videogames, really

goemar, what PrettyNier said is valid and if you can't take it, then don't continue.

back on topic~
Over Analysis: The Topic.
The new Tomb Raider game is getting me so excited, which is why it kills me that it's not being released until March 5th, 2013 :C
EDIT: Also, I know that just because you like a game doesn't mean it's good (technically anyways) but what a few see as unpolished mechanics, others see a well polished machine, so I don't really think it's that fair to assert a game is bad.
Many people hated the reboot of Prince Of Persia where you were the guy with the claw, but people like my professor for Video Game Design and myself found it a refreshing take on a series that was a dehydrated pony and it added a lot of diversity to the gameplay and design concepts. Just my take, but I'd rather if we didn't start arguing, I just wanted to give my spin on it, which I guess is a little unfair, but I guess you could always pm if you really wanted to say something. And just to be clear I completely understand where Sam and Jason are coming from, I just don't look at it that way, so I guess you could say I'm a bastard.

I've been pretty hyped about it ever since the first trailer. I hope it's good as it would be great to see the series shine again. Though I also hope they make a sequel to Guardian of Light as that was a great co-op game.

Nearly everything I was looking forward to this year is now 2013. Tomb Raider, Aliens, DMC, BioShock, Ni No Kuni and probably others I can't think of. I can see most of the stuff I'll enjoy seeing at E3 being trailers for games that are no longer out this year... (what is out this year by the way?).

I'm wanting a new Jet Set Radio as the original has been re-released (hey I can dream) but I hope it doesn't use the Kinect (or if it does that it's optional and doesn't require one). Sega made the effort to re-license songs for it which shows they care. They seem to be pushing a lot of Dreamcast titles out again, which is good, but it would also be nice to see some Saturn games (aka Panzer Dragoon) as it's a system many people missed out on and some games are hard to get (aka Panzer Dragoon Saga - which I own because I'm a git).

A Seaman game on the 3DS (something that has been talked about) would also be a nice surprise but I some how doubt it.
seaman was an horrible game.
