But they don't.

I can agree with you on that.

Honestly, I feel like they only care about how the textures look without giving a shit about that models themselves. Which can easily be told from the screenshots.
The name is really awkward. Today at work some coworkers and I were trying to talk about it but we kept forgetting the name. We settled with "Sony's Super Silly Smash Shenanigans".
PlayStation Heroes?

It should be obvious why she's in it...can you name a classic Sony character that's female?
Lara Croft.

You mean that chick who's owned by Squarenix now?
I just thought of two classic bad-ass Sony exclusive characters for this game, Sir Daniel From the MediEvil game series ^^ as well as his rival Zarok

It was also published on the PC, so it's not really a Sony console exclusive character, unlike the others.

A lot of people would probably confuse this with Playstation Move Heroes if that were to happen.

Sony is trying to appeal to the mainstream as well I see...

Well, that's actually what I was kind of going for. Not the confusion, but the similarity. It would make sense and be a lot less cumbersome if Sony just adopted the Playstation Heroes brand for all their crossover titles.

neitehr sonic or snake.
Why do people keep talking about Snake? He wasn't even in the trailer. I haven't seen anything saying Snake is in.

Your point: I don't see it.
He means that Sonic and Snake weren't Nintendo-exclusive, so saying that something won't be on this simply because it's not Sony-exclusive is a little short on evidence? Though, Lara Croft not being owned by Sony does make her being in there a bit less likely. I doubt that the studio making this really wants to go out of their way to get other company's characters if they don't have to.

But yeah, just 'cause they've appeared on other consoles doesn't mean they can't be in this. But being owned by a different company does make their appearance a whole lot less likely.

Though, really, I don't care much at all about who does or doesn't get into this game. It just looks... ugly, in several ways.
Right but....

Nintendo is a whole different company, Smash Bros is a whole different game, and that's a whole different situation.
Exactly.

Wait, did I not add that addendum. That was in my mind the entire time I was typing it, haha. Yeah. That is why this debate is stupid, we're basing it on Brawl which is a completely different.

Meta's Sonic and Snake thing was more towards Dazz's "but she was on the PC" comment than your "she's owned by Square Enix" comment. They'd still have to go through Square Enix to use Laura Croft, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Have they even said what their requirements for characters are, other than the obvious "been on a Playstation"? It'll be stupid to argue over speculation unless they have...
