MODS: I'll try uploading to Sendspace later, but right now this computer isn't letting me upload anything to Sendspace, min.us, or any other upload site. I don't know what the heck is wrong with it. Time for virus check / disabling useless firewall, methinks.

and the easier way is? =)
good job by the way... Wink
Just using Animation Shop 3 to it's full potential, something I wasn't doing at first Wink

Two more:

Once again, sorry the main file is being uploaded on this server instead - I'm still having some trouble uploading files over 100kb anywhere except there, for some reason (I have a feeling it's an problem with my ISP).

Great work, as always. You mentioned some sort of background hack earlier. Care to elaborate on that?
Thanks. Basically, I've heard there's a way to hack a background color to something different using cheat devices pre-installed on emulators. I've only managed to perform that feat on Meka, a Master System emulator, though it's possible on any apparently.

So yeah, I'm just trying to figure out where that background is hidden in the coding right now.

I tried that before, but failed because i suck at dealing with numbers. I managed to find the palette hex-values in Desmume's memory viewer, but i can't find them with a program like Artmoney, because the addresses are different.

Another option might be Lua. I have a Genesis emulator with Lua-support and a script, that changes the background to pink. Unfortunately, i don't know how to code Lua for myself and there is no documentation about Desmume's Lua functions Sad

next i am doing Psaro... =D
you mean "Pisaro"?
(06-12-2012, 09:34 AM)Davy Jones Wrote: [ -> ]you mean "Pisaro"?

hmm...
well there are some poeple on the i-net that call it "Pisaro" but i think the correct translation is "Psaro"...
look here --> http://www.woodus.com/den/games/dqm5prod...bmit+Query

here you can find all the correct english monster translations:
http://dqmj2p.wikkii.com/wiki/MonstersTrans
and if someone wants the translated (not 100%) rom pm me...
or just google for the english patch... Tongue
ahh and according to the list on the wiki this monster...
[Image: dragon.gif]...is called BorealSerp but in woodus they call him BorealSerpent (which is probably its full name) Unsure
imo we should use the translation on the wiki because they have translated it exactly how it is in the japanese game...
i am not sure thought... <.<
just in case i made an icon...

Boreal Serpent should be right, this "Serp" is just an abbreviation due to the text lenght for monster names:
Quote:(Sadly, I had to shrink a lot of names, I will try to find a way to keep them long)
I would go with Woodus, some of the names like RedDrg oder MetalKn are ridiculous.

Not sure about Psaro (it sounds unusal in my ears), the PAL version of Dragon Quest Monsters calls him Pisaro. And earlier he was called Saro and Necrosaro.

well i thought that it was an abbreviation... ^^
then let us use the full names... =P
but i am sure Psaro is correct because even woodus spelled it like this... Big Grin

Basically, after cropping them, I select them all and use the replace color option to clear the background (or, I'll go along the frames with the paint fill). Then, after saving it as an animation, I go back into the file and select Save frames as and throw them all in a folder.

Zip the folder up, make the icon and hey presto - There ya have it Tongue

And here's Wartoise:

you can replace the color from all frames at once? Surprise
didnt knew that...
well i am trying that out by my next rip... Smile
and if you crop the animations could you choose the option that it should crop to the "animated area"?
it reduces the file size to the minimum... Wink
ahh and Wartois is awesome! Big Grin

here is new monster...
this one took so much time...
i could rip at least 10 smaller monsters in the time i spend for this one but well the results are awesome so it was worth it! Big Grin
