Hey everyone, I recently registered here at TSR, and look forward to contributing what I can to your large database.

I noticed that this website's section for Squaresoft's Romancing SaGa still lacks a submission for its enemy/boss graphics. I'd love to help further bring this game out of obscurity, and add something to this section. I had the experience of playing through it once (no easy task, as it still remains untranslated), and found it to be a very fun and challenging test of my mettle. I've been in the process of arranging a sheet for upload which encompasses it's monster sprites, but I have an issue that I need to address before I proceed with a full submission..
The sprites were not originally ripped by me, but were hosted on a Japanese website which no longer functions. The content had however been saved by DE of rpgmaker.net, who shared the material through its forums. In this particular case I could use some advice on whether submission is acceptable. I have no intention of taking personal credit for the rips.
in this case, contact the person who shared the sprites and ask him if you can submit those work here, and you aren't going to be credited for it. If he gives the green light, we MIGHT accept it (sounds like he didn't rip the sprites either; the best option would be contacting the Japanese guy that ripped the graphics). This is what I think, though.

I'll let other people give their opinions about this, as no one wants anyone being charged of stealing.
Yeah, if I could get in contact with the guy who "ripped" them, I would ask him if he or someone else originally ripped them, if they know who, and how you could contact them, is what I'd do.

If you can't get any responses though... that'd be another story, the best thing I'd suggest is for you to re-rip them, and you could probably use their sheets as reference only to make sure you get everything. Just my two cents.
Xcalibr will probably not be able to talk to the guy from the website, but the second best thing would be asking DE. If he gives his okay, then he could submit it.

Completeness is another question, are these animated bosses/enemies or are they static?

^This site?

I might have found an sorta-web-archive site that has the original.

It looks like it has alot of the infoseek sites on it too.
Thanks for the advice everyone. It looks like the one Deathbringer found is the source (this same link had failed to work for me earlier..) There's definitely a bit of a collection here, with more super famicom rpg material (badass).
I did get a response back from DE who said he had no issues, though now I'm not sure how much it might matter. I wonder if the website has a maintainer or something. If its possible to get in contact that'll be great, but it seems sort of a long-shot. I'll try to investigate this a little more, but if it doesn't work out it's no big, just kind of a shame though.
Feel free to add any other comments if you got em'.
