I've just learned how to rip sound files from DS games.

Here are some sound effects from iDOLM@STER Dearly Stars:

Download

In the file there are 2 folders, The 1st has audience sound effects, and the 2nd has button sound effects, I didn't think to seperate them, as they are all pretty much general.

(I uploaded it with MediaFire, as adding it as an attachment would just freeze for me)
This is the very first Idolmaster rip in Spriters-Resource history. Will you rip the Casual ( カジュアル) models from THE iDOLM@STER Live For You, and the voice effects from IM@S 2, Dearly Stars, and L4U? I totally hope so.
Uploaded! This is right, isn't it?

That's correct!
I was asking Aj, because he's the one who ripped the sounds. I want to make sure they are in the appropriate section.

Yes they are, Thanks!!!

I don't know how to get models yet. (I'd love to, and am looking into it) As for iM@S 2 and L4U, I own iM@S 2, so I guess I could find out how to back it up, and learn how to rip models from PS3, but not L4U, sorry.

As soon as I learn how to open up the certain files in Dearly Stars, I'll put those models up.
I have a tutorial posted here (it's for BRRES format models, but Noesis works with many other formats too) that teaches how to work with BRRES Viewer and Noesis if you ever decide to use those for exporting models. It may not work for what you want to do, but I thought I'd post it here anyway. Smile

Also, thank you for the positive. Big Grin

Thank you. Mighty Jetters says that you should use BRRES. I hope you get the voice clips from the game on PS3 itself. From IM@S 2 PS3, I was wondering if you can rip the models of the girls in their normal clothes and in their winter clothes? I'd like that. Don't forget to feature the animation motion rip from the songs in every position, and the Wild Strawberry, Snow Strawberry Neo, and Vital Sunflower floral costumes. You CAN get the Casual and Another Casual models, and the animation motions for the idols in their left, middle, and right positions for every song from The Idolmaster Live For You using BBRES. Trust yourself.
SuperAj can rip what he wants, he doesn't need to cater to your demands.

Yeah, you're right.

Thanks for the link to the post! I'll have a look into it (And thanks for positive back).

@TheWolfBunny:
Thanks for the enthusiasm, and I'll look into it as soon as I can. (I think when It comes to ripping the models, because they frequently change costumes that there will just be a base model (No clothing) and separate models for the clothes. That's just my idea, I haven't looked into files yet). So for example, Ripping Haruka in Casual winter, would be Haruka's base model, plus her winter clothing separately.I know you're now banned, but if you're still checking the thread:

Here are links to some PMD models for the program.

In regards to model ripping, I looked through idolm@ster DS's files, and they're all ".bin", and ".idx", except for sounds. (I know .idx is used for subtitles, so they could possibly be the subs for the songs, but normally models are in .nsbmd format, so I don't know how to rip from .bin ) and I can't find tutorials to extract 3D models from .bin files
I know that many games use their own specific type of .BIN format, so I'm not sure if someone has looked into decompression for that game or not. There's a forum called Xentax that researches various file formats, so maybe you can find some answers there (and if not you could try asking about it). I wish I could help more but I've not attempted DS model ripping before. Sad

Thanks for the help. I'll check that forum, and hopefully I'll find the answer!
EDIT:
I found a way to unpack .bin files, but the files from the game aren't recognised Sad

Thank you!
After some full-on research, I found a site that specialises with game-modding/ hacking, posted my question, and found out that there's no way to open the .bin files up in a DS game yet. Cry
So i'm sorry, I can't get the models
