This is my first time ever ripping 3D models, and you can all thank Mighty Jetters for the inspiration and the help with regards to how to do it.
I'm planning to do a fair bit of 3D work I think, so expect more.

Let me know if these are right though, because as I said, this is my first time;

(Mighty Jetters said she'd make some icons, but I just wanted to get this posted because I'm an eager beaver)

Playable Characters (Dragon Quest):
[Image: alena.png][Image: angelo.png][Image: bianca.png][Image: carver.png][Image: dragonlord.png][Image: jessica.png][Image: kyril.png][Image: patty.png][Image: platypunk.png][Image: princessa.png][Image: slime.png][Image: stella.png][Image: yangus.png]

Will wait for someone to tell me these are good to go, since I can't really test them on anything, and then I'll continue on with the Nintendo characters Smile
I looked at Angelo's file and it looks good. The only thing I wold suggest is changing a few things in the .dae so that the textures load with the model. But that's not something You have to do if You don't want to. But if You want to fix that, then here's a tutorial by Peardian.

You will need Notepad++ or something else that can read the files correctly. You just right click on the .dae and click Edit with Notepad++.
Oh I thought I did that... Must have missed him.

edit: It looks alright to me...

One more thing; The Nintendo characters generally all have their eyes closed... And when I view without the shadow in Neosis, they look WAY bright, so would be useless in an icon. If I make the zips, could someone sort me out with some icons? Smile

I see what happened. The .png needs to be added to the end of the texture names.

Oh poo, will work on that now.

edit: Should all be updated in a moment, after my upload finishes.
Looking good.Smile Checked Patty and there's no problems. They should all be ready to upload to the site now.
Hey Dazz, you can take snapshots in BRRES Viewer and make icons with those by going to Model and unchecking Axes. They're properly shaded and look better than in Noesis. Wink

Also I'll make icons next time if you want, but yours look pretty great. Big Grin
This is something that I know BrawlBox would be best to use with exporting the models. The Mario characters (and the Dragonlord) have bodygroups, from what I've seen when viewing the models. And as those who have used it may know, the models exported with BRRESViewer are all condensed into one polygon group, so the bodygroups (alternate eye sets, mainly) are hard to separate/remove manually, while they would all be in individual polygon groups from a BrawlBox export.
I don't currently have any 3D editing software, so I'm struggling with regards to how I'm to do this using Brawlbox since it only exports as things which Noesis doesn't support.
RTB, would you be up for re-ripping Dragonlord, and if I send you the Mario characters, could you give them a stab?
I recently got this game, and I must say it was much more fun than I anticipated. After you finish the characters, think you could take a stab at the stages? Some of those backgrounds would really be worth having. Big Grin

Late reply, but yeah, I'll see what I can do next week. The Mario characters are pretty much the same way, so I'll probably have to export those myself, too.
how come Yangus dos'nt look like he does in his Dragon Quest VIII apperance like Angelo? is Eight(hero) in the game too?
