Mods can post in closed threads. The more times you "close" it again, the longer it will remain on the front page. If you really want it to die, just let it sit and time will take care of the rest.
Katedit- Yes but normal members cannot. It isn't that I'm trying to keep it off the front page, but more or less trying to stop what was happening earlier with the shitposting. Metaru wasn't the only issue.
