Hey, I'm new here, but I've been using TSR for a while now. I registered to submit this:

They are colored versions of these pictures:

Not sure of the actual process here, but I spent many hours on these, so I hope they're acceptable.
Sorry, but they're just recolors.

These aren't acceptable.
if I'm not mistaked, the game did have colored photos in the DX version of the game. If they're those photos, then they're ok. If you just recolored them to your liking, then sorry, it can't be accepted.

As far as I know, the original game DIDN'T have a photo system at all, and when it was brought into DX, the photos were monochrome.
oh

so then it is simply a recolor. sorry, but we can't accept this. If our archives don't have the original monochrome photos, then rip the original ones and we'll gladly put them into submission.
They're already archived.
Yeah, these also aren't in the Game Boy Color's palette, they're recolors.
tSR's already got the originals not to mention some of the colored sprites from the photo ops themselves. What's missing is the color backgrounds from the photo ops that have their own scenes, and a few unique character sprites, like Marin and Tarin in front of the bird statue.
For some reason I seem to actually remember seeing these photos in color, but I can't remember where.
Specifically the mouse falling off the cliff; I knew he was purple.

brb playing LA again just to check this (and partly because I've been wanting to).

edit: Well, the reason you knew the mouse was purple is that he's purple in-game, all the time. But the photos (these frames here exactly) never show up in color like this. When the photo's taken it is that sepia tone color, playing on the GBC. But I will say that the "Photo Ops" sheet on tSR is incomplete. Honestly I feel like ripping what's missing myself, but at the moment I'm rather sadly ill-equipped to do so. But yeah, these are recolors, but there are color sprites yet to be ripped from the scenes before these photos.

these exact recolors have been posted on tsr long time ago already.
if not by someone else, by the same user with another account. i remember them because at first i didn't knwo they were ingame cutscenes.
Actually, I just did these myself, so if they were submitted by someone else, someone has beaten me to this project.

The colors are from the game itself, but taken from (mostly) overworld colors. They each took several hours to color, so please don't make assumptions that I just ripped them from someone else. I accept that they can't be accepted, and it's fine. I did them out of bordom and my love for Link's Awakening.
it's okay.

we only accept original or custom sprites, so try a hand at them if you still want to contribute.
