Alright, that also answers my next question on if their'd be small references to previous Koopaling fights
Okay, I also have a full sheet made for Bowser in this style, the issue being that it was made a while back and I'm no longer happy with the animations.

Now, if i'm going to remake all the animations, I may as well go for a new Bowser sprite in general, so basically, C+C for the Bowser sprite that I can apply to the remake when I do it please.
Personally I think Bowser is too small compared to the Koopalings.
I can try to make him a bit larger, but you have to keep in mind that his size has to work with the game. If he's even slightly too tall, jumping over him in battle will become a pain. Theres also the fact that Bowser's size is never consistent. But yeah, If I remake it, I'll make him a bit taller.

EDIT- Actually, for now I'll keep Bowser as is. I have like... a million more sheets to make and I won't get anywhere if I'm going back to fix other things. For now I'll put him aside and I'll work with him when I have less sheets to work on. Either way, my main issue with him was the quality of his animations, but I guess I can't fairly judge them until I see them in full motion in game.

Yeah, Bowser should be larger. In NSMBWii, first battle, its not about getting over him, its about getting UNDER him when he jumps.

But you can take your time with making him bigger, we can all wait.

I was actually going to suggest you put him to the side and work on other sheets, I support this notion.

Yes, he was larger in NSMBWii because his battle required you to get under him. That isn't the case in MM. In MM he is much more aggressive, usually going after the player directly, meaning you'd have to jump over him. Giving him his NSMBWii size would result in the player getting trapped between him and a wall. You have to consider the fact that Bowser's size is always changing. This is because the way he is fought is always changing. A small Bowser wouldn't work for the final boss of SMG2, where as a giant Bowser wouldn't work form SM64.

EDIT- I made this Bowser based on the size he had in M&L:BiS since that one wouldn't have had any size changes, it would be the closest to default Bowser size, which is about what I have with the current sprite, give or take.

EDIT2- Okay, I'm making a larger Bowser, and as you would guess, it looks like an enlarged version of the original. I think I'll use the original and the larger one will be for a later boss fight (you fight Bowser 3 times. First is normal, second is with ice abilities, third is super charged).
Sounds like a cool idea (no pun intended)

Maybe during his Ice battle, he can have an attack where he spins in his shell and he's surrounded by snowflakes or something and if he touches Mario/Luigi they freeze for about 2 seconds. Just a suggestion
Sorry, but the battle is already planned, although he does have a shell spin attack, it just doesn't freeze you.
Ah. Nevermind I guess
I mean, it's a good idea, but we already have 2 attacks planned where he freezes you solid, both of which will generally be followed by the shell spin (the ice makes it so you can't move and the shell hurts you while you can't move.) which is meant to make the player feel helpless in a sense. Combining them would not only take that away, but it would also make those 3 attacks pointless.

Except for the fact that in BIS you never see the Koopalings, so you can't compare their sizes to Bowser or to Mario anyway. The closest you could try would be games where both are present, like M&LUnsureS, or SMB3. But then again, Bowser seems to be able to change sizes often. (Compare the sizes of Mario and Bowser in M&LUnsureS to their differences in M&L2TongueiT, and again in M&L3:BIS.)

I understand that I can't compare Bowser to the Koopalings in BiS, but why wouldn't I be able to compare him to Mario? I'm afraid I don't see your logic. I got Bowser's size by taking his size in BiS compared to Mario, and I made the Koopalings by comparing them to their sizes compared to Mario in NSMBWii. In both cases, Bowser and the Koopalings are scaled to the Mario in Midas Machine, so they'd be the correct size, give or take a a bit.
Comparing Mario to Bowser gives you reference points relative size differences in the three games. Comparing Bowser to the Koopalings in M&LUnsureS is another reference, one more with comparing Mario to the Koopalings in M&LUnsureS. Taking also SMB3, NSMBW, SPP, etc... into consideration, you end up getting more solid and solid in terms of size differences, so your sprites would be more accurate. (However, if you choose to remake the characters themselves -- i.e., make Iggy lanky --, then of course you can throw "accuracy" out the window, because it's a new character and a new style.)
The issue is that the sizes in M&LUnsureS, SMB3, and SMW are inaccurate or outdated, so, as far as the koopalings go, NSMBWii is the best bet. As for Bowser, it was mainly a matter of making him taller than the Koopalings, but short enough to work in the planned method of battle, which involves being able to jump over him (as apposed to NSMBWii which made you go under him). So in the end, this is as accurate as they will get. The Koopalings are, based on their current designs, about spot on compared to Mario, and Bowser is, well, Bowser is always changing size so who really cares.
