Hello everyone.

Even though I'm a new member I am certainly not new to Spriters-Resource and related websites. I joined in 2007 under the names Mellie-Master and Mecha-Pichu, even though I doubt anyone remembers me since I've been inactive for over 2 years and I never did anything significant. (All I did was some odd sprite ripping jobs, mostly SNES)

In any case, I noticed that the sounds-resource has very little SNES sounds, so here you guys go:

Feel free to use this for anything. Credit would be nice.
More will be added as I feel like ripping them.
If you have any specific requests let me know.

Cheers!
Oh wow you ripped Tetris Attack sounds! I've seen some of your Pokémon Mystery Dungeon rips (that Mecha-Pichu right?) and others.

I also never would've thought that no one ripped SMRPG's sounds. Good work.
Yeah I love Tetris Attack. And wow, I honestly didn't think anyone would remember me.

and Thanks alot Cute
Uploaded (not updated) up to Family Feud (this is more a not to myself than anything).
Very nice, which program did you use for them?

I use SNESSOR95. It's a great and easy program. Cute
Your Krusty .rar only has 22 files in it, not 74. Is that all of them or has it uploaded wrong?
whoops! I used the lemmings bit as a template, I must've forgotten to change the numbers.
It's uploaded correctly, I double-checked. Changed my first post aswell.
thanks for the heads-up~
Uhhh, this is such a nice program Cute

But one question: Is the frequency always 8000hz or does it vary from game to game?
Very Sad it seems SNESSOR95 only rips pieces of music from Secret of Mana Ouch! any other programs? i once got all the sfx from secret of mana but lost em to a computer death T_T cant remember how i ripped em
Ok, has no one listened to these? This is a joke right?
These aren't sound effects.
Snessor only extracts the base samples, the bits of waveforms and instruments that are used to produce the ACTUAL sound effects in these games. The sound effects are sequences run through the sound chip. Unless the game has a sound test, ripping sound effects from SNES games can be quite difficult, but it can be done (ie ripping SPCs and converting them).
Most of these samples are completely useless.
When I see "All Legend of Zelda LttP Sound Effects" on Sounds Resource, I'm expecting a pack of all the sound effects I hear in the game. Not a couple dozen clicks and instrument samples. These should either be rejected or named properly when submitted. These are terribly misleading.

THESE are the actual sound effects from LoZ LttP (not submitting, these are from another site):

What is even more upsetting is that some games like Tetris Attack do have a sound test that plays all of the proper in game sounds, and you still uploaded snessor rips as if they were legitimate.
Thanks for pointing that out. I'll take them down. By the way, this would give me a good excuse to rip the Tetris Attack sounds myself so I'll look up how to do that and maybe upload new ones sometime.

Tetris Attack has a sound test accessible from the main menu. It's as simple as wav dumping each sound.
Okay so I found out how to dump audio as .WAV but it looks like I'll still have to cut off silence from each recording, so might have a decent amount of work ahead of me anyway. Thanks for telling me this exists though. Better than trying to record with Audacity at least.

Sound Forge has an auto trim plugin and a batch processor (used it on the Sonic sounds I submitted here). If you don't have Sound Forge I'd gladly do this for you.
