last time i played was a few months ago so maybe they fixed some of this.
If they did then i'll start playing again.
The full release opened up a ton of new maps; some of which are pretty varied; even for Tier 1 difficulty.
The combat becomes much better when you fight tactically, instead of just running up to the nearest enemy and mashing attack. I play long-range support, and have a surprisingly hard time of it. I fully respect anyone who specialises in bombs; that shit's difficult.
Yeah they've definitely made the levels better. There's still a few in Tier 1 that are pretty linear, but it's way, way better than pre-release.

i am actually surprised how this game, even with its extremely simplistic gameplay, can become fully tactical/action oriented when coordinated attacks are made. it does put you to use all of your resources to defeat every chamber you're in, as brute force is just not going to work on most levels(not even on the earlier ones) leading you extremely vulnerable.
and considering the game is quite non intensive and runs entirely on java, makes it avaliable for most people, even for those like ne who havent upgraded their computer since 2007.
This looks fun; gotta check it out later. I'll probably wind up with the same username over there that I use here if I start playing.

This is hilarious. A while back NetDevil was working on a game that's nearly identical to this, right down to the energy.
Of course they lay off everyone on the team and diss their Russian investors, haha.
Shortly after that NetDevil ceased to exist.
