i use paint but i was wondering if there was a better one.
I use Paint.Net for the cutting because it dosent have any color loss when you resave the picture. Been using it for at least 2 years now.
thanks but i think i will stick to paint
GraphicsGale is a pretty pro program; a lot of top-tier spriters use it.

It's a bit outdated, though

lots of top-tier spriters also use MSPaint, too so it's entirely preference here
Your program doesn't influence how good you are at pixel art. Pixel art is dependent on your skill as an artist.

Sticking with Paint would be a good option, but I wouldn't avoid GraphicsGale either. I use it and it's very reliable for something so outdated.
MSPaint works for me, and if you can find a copy of Fireworks then GO FOR THAT TOO. I rely on Fireworks for animations, and this is a major part to spriting.

Also Paint 7 also has a nice feature where you can see the actual size of the picture along with the zoomed in size so you can see what each pixel edit does in the final bit.

I have yet to use another program besides these three for spriting.

All Paints have that.

thanks guys ill download graphics gale and i have PAINT>NET and i didint liked it. I have both paints MS PAINT and MS PAINT 7...... but i like ms paint best
I didn't like Paint.NET at first either, but it's worth making the adjustment, IMO. Paint.NET handles the selection tools a lot differently than MS Paint, and I think that's what might throw people off.

All Paints have that.

I was unaware that MS Paint ever did this
