I just realized I haven't tried to sprite anything since my charmander I did a WHILE back.
Anyway since I have been ripping from black and white I thought I would try to make a sprite.

Its still a WIP so C+C Please.
do anything thats not a pokemon. leave your comfort zone. try something completely original, even if its a wild doodle. otherwise you'd be stuck trying to replicate something "just for it to look like the original" instead of learning anything new.
OK I'll try Mario because he's popular and I know little about him outside Brawl.
Not to Mention I have never tried to make a person.
Edit:

I made it really fast because I'm at school so it has a lot of room for improvement.
(Also I didn't have enough time to make the arms right now)
replace "pokemon" witth any existing character on my first post.

At least it isn't pokemon, give the guy some chance.

You're giving more then one light source on Mario, this kind of makes the shading look pretty sleezy at best.

Try to keep one light source, while I'm at it colors could use slightly more saturation.
-His chin/jaw is extremely far back compared to his forehead.
-His eye is too far back.
-He's pillowshaded (Specifically the overalls).
-Alot of colors could be removed, and the default MS Paint pallete is an eye sore.
-His hat logo is out of perspective.
-And he needs a definite lightsource.
Whoops I completely forgot about this. Anyway worked on it a little.
Oh and I didn't use MS default except the black and white of course. Big Grin

What else needs to be fixed.
Edit:
I just realized the shading on his overalls needs to be fixed.
