The old voices were GOOD! Now they make him sound like some skater. Before he sounded good.


Oh, and I think the jingle of Tatl wanting your attention was much more annoying than Navi.

Did Sonic ever sound good? He only had a voice from Sonic Adventure on (not counting the cartoons) and he's always sounded like some weirdo :/

Some of the Zelda Two The Adventure of Link Japanese sound effects were ear rape to listen to IMO.

Sonic has sounded like a "skater" ever since he got a voice. His Sonic Colors voice was easily the most tolerable-- and Tails's Colors voice was the only GOOD Tails voice.

...I'm guessing it won't hurt anything to throw an opinion out there, but the anime voices that they used from Shadow to The Black Knight were the best voices I had ever heard. Even Sonic's Japanese voice that they haven't changed since he first got it in SA wasn't even as good as his English voice back then, and none of the voices were bad really (I liked them all, even Tails' baby voices), but the new Colors voices... are not that great... Sonic just kinda sounds wrong, I'm not used to hearing Tails sound older than a 3 or 4 year old, and Amy seriously sounds WAY younger than she is, she sounds like a 5 or 6 year old. Shadow's previous voice was also cooler, let's admit it, and Omochao only got worse (in the new racing game) since his first appearance I think, he was at his best in SA2B. And c'mon the anime voices were the best-fitting to the characters anyway. Tails sounded like a 6 year old like he is, Cream was very cute as a 6 year old as well, Rouge sounded... like the way she is, and everyone just "sounded right", considering their personalities and ages. Vector also sounds worse than he did. "FIND THE COMPUTER ROOM!", Espio's voice was great, and Charmy's was cute and fitting for the buzzy bee.

Opinions and arguments aside, they've now changed the voices (AGAIN, gosh it's like a ritual every few years like someone said on YouTube) whether we like them or not, and if we love SEGA games enough we'll just have to tolerate them to play the games, it's most of the time worth it.

But yeah sorry for rambling. ;

In just about every game that is both Touhou and has voices (in other words, the unofficial ones), those voices are OH MY GOSH HORRIBLE.

For example, take the Touhou Fortress Utsuho or Suika voicepacks. If you haven't listened to them before, I'd suggest that you don't do it now, unless you want to make your ears bleed.

Other Touhou voices also tend to be overdone while also not having enough different clips.

Finally, half of the time, the voices just don't fit how I'd expect the character to sound, but that one's quite subjective.

EDIT: Hey while I'm here, and noticing Jetters right above this post, yeah, Bomberman games tend to have horrid voice acting, too. English Mighty in BMJetters was so terrible, I refuse to play him ever. I'd say the Higes and Grand Bomber were the only ones with voices I personally liked.

Well I liked all the voices personally, and don't care whether everyone says they're awful or not, but though Mighty's voice wasn't that bad, I have to agree with one guy who said on YouTube that Mighty sounded like a trucker, LOL. But you know, what I'm wondering is, since Mighty's voice actor was the same as MAX's (Duke Clement), why didn't he make Mighty's voice more soft and soothing like MAX's voice? Because that's how he is in his personality. And Mujoe's drill sergeant voice was funny and I thought it was good and fitting. White Bomber has a less girly voice than in the anime where he giggled like a baby (almost literally). And I have actually thought of a very good English voice for Mighty, it's very soft and soothing and lovely like his JP voice. I actually thought that Flame Bomber, Granny Bomber, Bongo, Gangu, and Dr. Ein's English voices were kinda better than the JP ones. And I LOVE Grand Bomber's voice because it's so goofy, and Thunder Bomber too definitely. But I really, really, really (I can't say really enough honestly, because he has just become my favorite character of all time ever since I got back into watching the anime) love Mighty (not in a weird way though I think I've become obsessed, I truthfully say that I think about him ALL DAY ), and I don't care what his voice is I ALWAYS play as him unless I'm fooling around with other characters in usually quick battles. I've been wanting to play it for a long while but I haven't been able to due to how life's been, but all the Jetters games are awesome... and... sorry for the rambling again. ^_____^

That's no good. So what do you do? First, you say "no". Then, you get outta there.

While admittedly I did get pretty attached to the Adventure / Brawl voice, the Colors voice was fine.
