So I'm pretty sure it isn't a good thing when your computer's task bar freezes and the ctrl+alt+delete function won't work So I am in safe mode running Malwarebytes seeing if I can find an issue.

Also it doesn't help that even though the task bar won't work Opera will freeze too and I am just having computer issues.

Help please.
What exactly is happening?
Is the computer just going slow and freezing a lot, or is it acting strange?

If it's just going slow, close some programs (I realize you said task manager won't open) or if worst comes to worst, just restart the computer.

The Taskbar is freezing. You know the thing with the "start" button on it. Also all programs I have opened and used (except malwarebytes, it seems to work fine) will work for 5 seconds then freeze and the only reason why I am on right now you can thank to safe mode.

I've restared like 8 times (hard restarting probably isn't the best thing for the computer but it is literally all I can do since the taskbar will freeze.) and the same thing kept happening.

Oh and Malwarebytes found nothing. I ran a quick scan and a full scan both in safe mode and it literally found nothing.
That's odd. As soon as you boot into windows, everything freezes?
Well as soon as I sign into my account things will work for about a minute or so then freeze.
You have an external drive?

Time for a reformat. Smile
No but I wish I did. I keep asking mom for one as well as windows 7 or an XP disc but she says that they are too expencive and would rather keep going to PCW every few years and pay $60 for them to do it.
that's... not very smart

windows XP discs are easily acquirable (I can link you to a torrent if you want)
but do you have any way to back up your important files?
No it isn't. Mom tends to do with what is the cheepest when a problem arrives. Also no, I don't, that the only part that is stopping me from reformatting.
upload it to a hosting site. problem solved.
