Every thread that ever had a point is outside of spamhaul

GD has been said numerous times to be a slightly more strict spamhaul.

I am honestly missing something here why is spamhaul being gone a bad thing.

Seriously explain it to me.
How many times has a thread like this been posted before?
you've probably heard that it's bad because we have a tendency to be upfront to new people about whether or not they'll be sticking around.
you've also probably heard that it's bad because of a bunch of off color comments like how people in spamhaul were dirty ultimate fabulous dudes African-Americans sometimes
We could build on the Honarary Member's thing where only Users who have been around for a while can see the spamhaul that way newcomers dont start there and get a bad impression, I am gonna say that i enjoyed but im also pretty cool with how others act so that may be why i saw no problem.

But i guess thats just me.
But the mindset would still exist. If Spamhaul exists, the mindset exists.

Cliquey. That'll just start a whole slew of other problems. People get mad enough that "skypecrew" exists. :l

Wait what.

Because a group of people/friends are in a skype chat people are upset about this.

How does this make sense.
I thinks it's the constantly bringing it up.
I don't know why that's such a sticking point - The Skypers Resource (I refuse to call it Skypecrew. It's the shittiest name) is open to anyone who has Skype. Just message one of us, and we'll add you to it. I'm grooveman.exe on there also.

There was nothing wrong with Spamhaul. It was fine, it was fun. To us.
To any outsider, the attitude in Spamhaul (chaotic, racist & misogynistic for laughs) was taken to be the general attitude of TSR as a whole. Because of the outside perception, other sites want nothing to do with us. We don't want people to get the wrong perception of us, so we had to get rid of Spamhaul to make the site more accessible. That's it in a nutshell. It sucks, but it needed to happen.

fuck them. we aren't them. we don't need to live up to their fucking standards.
like i said last time this was brought up- as evidence, i only started posting on tsr in..... april i think?? and ive been in skypecrew for a while now, sooo
the point being that if anyone thinks it's exclusive excuse me while i go laugh my buttes off
"the people who complain about these things are the worst"
"watch me complain literally nonstop"

That doesn't mean the community shouldn't be unwelcoming to new members.
New members who read the rules and post in the intro forum and try not to be fucking stupid get treated right. We've gotten a lot of cool member lately, Tyvon.
Yes, that is true. However, if the community as a whole has this bad aura of insults and sarcasm and irony, people... aren't going to join. Or they'll leave because they're not comfortable with the community.

It's about expansion and professionalism.
