Tell me how to NOT pillow shade and tell me WHAT IT IS.
I made the sun on top of Kirby, and if you look close enough, the colors get lighter at the top.
It would help if you could show it. If you don't mind.

try to shade it more like this

you're still somewhat pillowing and it would look infinitely better if you shaded it like a ball
Kirby Canvas Curse has a good example of how to shade Kirby when he's a ball like that
..Showing the sun won't change the fact that he shaded it poorly
Yup don't you know how to shade a ball?
