avast! antivirus
got it on my old junker laptop, light as hell and won't bother your gaming. considering putting it on my sex machine here, too
also: threatfire, realtime virus protection. it's the equivalent of a robot pushing you out of the way, saving your ass and then identifying the name of the technique and attacker when you're about to be shot with an earth-destroying DBZ attack

avast is the best and its free
other good (free) alternatives are avira and clamwin
the best antivirus period is NOD32 but it costs money
luckily you can download it for free and the internet is literally bursting with reg keys for it so it's not hard to get it registered at all

alka seltzer plus works pretty well to fight the flu
