Well I'm about to get the PSX soon this weekend and just wondering on what games I should pick up along the way. Plus, in all honesty I am kinda new to this console and it's library. (Also anything besides Crash and Spyro since those games are already on my list.)
nope sorry no good psx games at all
a lot of rpgs
actually seriousness

Resident Evil 2 & 3
Castlevania Chronicles
Megaman 8
Vagrant Story
Marvel Vs. Capcom
SNK Vs. Capcom
Parasite Eve 1 & 2
Megaman Legends 1 & 2
Tenchu: Stealth Assassins
Armored Core 2
Tomba! & Tomba! 2
Trap Gunner
Tomb Raider 2
MDK
Skull Monkeys
Ghost in the Shell
Metal Gear Solid & VR Missions
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Rapid Reload/Gunners Heaven
Strider 2
Chrono Cross
Street Fighter Alpha
Darkstalkers 3
Brave Fencer Musashi
Alundra 1 & 2
Legend of Dragoon
Ape Escape
Intelligent Qube
Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor Underground are both great, Codename: Tenka (Lifeforce Tenka if you're in Europe) is a dated but still fun FPS, Megaman Legends and its sequel, and I cannot emphasize Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver enough.

Your are a smart, smart boy. If you don't have a PSP, and can find it I'd like to add Final Fantasy Tactics to this list.

As well as, Spyro 1-2,
Crash Bandicoot 1-3,
Ehergeiz: God Bless the Ring,
Wild Arms 1-2,
Azure Dreams,
Grandia,
Medievil 1-2,
Threads of Fate,
Tales of Destiny 1-2,
A Thousand Arms
Digimon World 1, 3, if you like Dungeon Crawlers DW2 is also an option.

I'm gonna hand this list off to some other people now.

i honestly enjoyed 6 a lot.

ball crushingly hard and the shittiest reploid system ever though. its like fire emblem but impossible. once they die, theyre dead forever and half the time you dont expect them to be there or to die so fast.

also;
legend of legaia
final fantasy 7, 8 and 9
tales of eternia
yugioh: forbidden memories, if you're into yugioh
guilty gear
legend of dragoon
breath of fire 3 and 4
Nobody's posted Einhander?
A lot of the 3D titles has aged rather badly so you'd probably want to avoid those. R-Type Delta (minus he graphics) is still pretty grand though.
also forgot klonoa, get klonoa

Actually, why not just get a PS2? You'll have twice the kickass library to choose from that way
Plus, PS2s are only like, $50 nowadays.
