Hello to everyone!
I'm Ivan, an aspiring indie game programmer.
For you today I have a fan project I'm working on in my spare time.
This is a reboot of a ROM hack I started about a year+ ago.
Now in the form of a game maker game, it is taking off quite nicely.
I'll be making weekly updates as I progress.
Anyway, let's get to the meat and potatoes.

Project Overview:
This fan game is an enhanced 'demake' of "Megaman: Powered Up" for the PSP.
It is being made in 8-bit style with as strict as possible adherence to the graphical restrictions of the NES. I won't be paying any attention to the sprite per scan line limitations as Capcom themselves chose to ignore it.
It will include most, if not all, of the features from the PSP version in addition to several features from the recent Wii installments.

Demo:
ALPHA-0 - A super early version that only has most of the menu system finished. You can't even get to the stage select screen yet! =(
I'm interested.
Do you care to explain what you mean by "Powered-down" though?
It's an 8-bit style remake of Megaman Powered Up for PSP.
It's in the description above. Genki ^_^
It'll have most of the features of MMPU and some from MM9 & MM10.
I may also have a stage builder mode in-game or as a separate application that comes later.
Oh. Well I never played that. However, I will keep an eye on this project and see where it goes.
I think the key feature of the PSP version is the ability to play as all the Robot Masters, Roll, & Protoman in "what if..." scenarios so I definitely recommend trying it out some time. The 'big head' art style is atrocious, however.
fuck yes this looks rad. i could never stand MMPU's art style
Agreed. If I could I would extract the character models and manually edit them to have more appropriate heads. They just went so far they ended up looking ridiculous.

IM NOT YOUR FRIEND ;____;

i honestly was expecting some kinda ATARI MEGAMAN but this is cool too
Will you be including custom levels like Powered up? Coz that was great, i remember.
I heard the RM 7/RM 8 FC team was working on this. Are you from that team ?
Also, I made this some time ago, maybe you can use it.

I haven't decided yet whether or not I'm going to include the stage builder mode. But if there is plenty of demand for it my hand may just be forced.

I'm not affiliated with the FC teams. This is all me.
Also, I appreciate the portraits. I like some of the shading you have there. I might use them to do a final update.
Very insteresting...
Megaman PowerUp is the classic megaman with better graphics right?
Also, this will be a "ISO" hack or an ".exe"???
Do you have Timeman and Oilman sprites? I would love to see them!
