I'm more interested in how they're actually going to pull this off than I am with the handheld itself

I didnt think that was even possible. It just dosen't make sense. And even if it did, the idea will be copied almost straight away.

custom robo, star fox, paper mario and pokemon on 3ds are what id be most excited for.

I suspected the new DS would be shown at E3. We'll just have to wait.
Nintendo already confirmed it and said they'll show it at E3.
Some new information has surfaced, too. Supposedly it has a joystick and rumble now.
Well looks like I definitively won't be getting the new pokemon game until its already been out for a year. I just got my Ds lite last summer and I'm not getting rid of a perfectly fine system.

I'll be getting the new system with the new Pokemon. No need to buy it earlier, I already have a DSi.
it's going to have graphics better than that of the gamecube.
Hope it can emulate N64 then.

Yeah, but nintendo's new releases ALWAYS use the system's "gimmick".
It'll have a control stick and 3D, so chances are good that the zelda on the 3DS will have 3D functions and be controlled with the control stick.
