Hello, everyone! To try and bring the community together a bit more, we've decided to open up an IRC Channel in a network that's fairly trusted and used by a few forums we're friends with, namely MFGG.

This server is irc.drshnaps.com. The channel is #tsr.

How to get to the tSR IRC:

If you have an IRC client, connect to the server at "irc.drshnaps.com" and find to the channel #tsr. If you're using Pidgin or something similar, all you have to do is type in "/join #tsr" and you're good to go.

There are a few good IRC clients out there for you all to use, so check some of them out if you haven't before:

This is a list of IRC commands that you can use in the chat. Keep track of these!

IRC Rules:

The rules are basically the same as the forum, but more relaxed. No pornography, no malware, nothing of that sort. Keep swearing to a minimum and please try to refrain from spamming constantly, although, like it's been said, the rules are very lax. You may use the IRC to learn and hang out with your fellow tSR members!

Remember, it's #tsr at irc.drshnaps.com! We're looking for IRC Operators who can stand by often, so we hope to see you there! Thanks.
Finally! Big Grin
I'm the only one in there... Sad
Vipershark and I are currently in there, I'll be idling for tonight and some of tomorrow. We'll decide on Ops once more people join!
Sounds interesting, which IRC clients do you use?
I personally use Pidgin, as I downloaded it a long while back and never bothered to uninstall it, but it works great for IRC!

It doesn't really matter what client you use, though, they're all alright. Even Mibbit!
use chatzilla if you're using firefox. its automated and user-friendly for those who will just use irc for this.
to connect just type

/join irc.oftc.net and then /join #Tsr.
I use more irc than msn, I enter every day, so yeah, be sure I'm going to frequent this channel too ;p

.../attach?
Welcome your new IRC Operator, Francisco Cifuentes/Metaru! He'll be moderating things around the IRC for the days to come, along with the tSR Staff that decides to show up.

We hope to see more of you join! We've peaked at 22 users today! Smile

Well, "/join irc.oftc.net" surely didn't work for me (using chatzilla), as join is for channels - for servers, one can use "/attach" or "/server" or... something else I have forgotten. Chatzilla help told me that.
Joined it
Jeez, I'm already in 5 different networks, did you really have to pick such a random one?
