I can't believe I forgot about SkyBlazer. I need to go find a copy of the game (I only played it via rental before) since it's pretty much impossible for it to be released on the Wii's Virtual Console (Sony made the game).
Ah SkyBlazer, what an awesome game. I also recommend Ganbare Goemon 2 if you can get your hands on it (Jap only).
R-Type III is also one of the best shmups on the system if you like the genre. And again if you have an emulator Umi-Hara Kawa-Se is a brilliant title worth checking out.

how did I miss this
Seconding/thirding A Link to the Past and Terranigma.

I didn't actually have a SNES so I don't know many of these at all.
Goof Troop is co-op must, so grab a friend.

I had fun playing it alone and with a friend.

though co-op is admittedly more fun.
And the thread starter? Did he got any of our recommendations?
Yes I did, though you may want to remember I could only afford so much. However, I did in fact updated my first post with games that I have in my possession.
I saw it earlier.
It could help if you say what kind of games you like or don't like. For example, if you're not into RPG, then you can probably rule out half of my recommendations.

I'll need to remember that the next time I do something like this, but for now I think this might be enough recommendations for me. So, I really don't mind for this thread being closed.
I don't see why it has to be closed. Other people can use the thread to find SNES games, too.
True Alpha Six, I guess this thread could live. (Just ignore part of my post above)
