Is it wrong that I dislike the NES final fantasies?

FF2 aside, is it wrong that i dislike FF1 and FF3?
I find the NES ones to be boring. The FF3 DS remake is decent, but I even find it to be incredibly boring. Nothing drew me into the game.

I found FF4 to be somewhat boring as well, but that's probably just because I never bothered to get past the 2nd town. I played the DS remake for about 5 minutes once and found it to be infinitely better than the original SNES version, so I'll have to give it another try sometime.

As for FF5, it's a good game, though I think it could've been much better. Nothing much to say about it, I enjoyed it.

FF6? By far the best of the 2D FF games and definitely in the top 3 of the series.

I'm in no way an FF7 fanboy, but I really like it. The first time that I played it was last year (the PC port) and I'd like to pick up a copy of the original on PS1 sometime.

FF8 is a great game. Not much to comment on.

I think FF9 is probably my favorite game out of the seires. The great music and fun gameplay puts it on the top for me, plus I think it's the first FF game that I played.

FF10 isn't terrible, but I don't like it.

Never played 11.

FF12 is utter shit and shouldn't exist.

I actually liked FF12 because the main character had SOME resemblance to an actual character.

Like, he was aspirational, but too idealistic and naive.
Which is as close to complex as I've seen in FF.
Still kind of wanted to punch him, though.
And his actual design made me want to vomit.

Somehow I ended up playing FF10 for ages until I had a sudden moment of clarity and realised: I hated nearly all of the characters. Wakka was sort of likable in a Big Dumb Guy kind of way, and Lulu wasn't bad once she removed the stick from her arse, but nearly everyone else drove me mad and ARGHHH the voice acting was so fucking appalling and the writing...!
The gameplay and scenery wasn't bad, but everything else was just such utter wank.
(Also someone who's played this game pls answer my question :C )

Balthier >>>>> Vaan

anyway, ff13 aint AS BAD as i was hoping. i still dont love it though. are there any airships or is the game pure walking.
Yo, Vanille. Can you choose which accent you're going to use and stick with it?

I completely agree. At one point she sounds fine, next cutscene its different. Other than her, all the other character voices rock

ff1 and 3 were dreadful imo. ff2 was p cool cuz it actually had some kinda story and characters!

even the ds remake is pretty dull. it just has nice graphics and designs
Just goes to show some Westerners shouldn't bother playing JRPG Drama's.

I agree for 12 though. WTF were they thinking? The only thing FF good since that game was Dissidia which thankfully Vahn wasn't even in! Would have liked a cameo of Ramza though. Best hero of any FF, from start to finish he isn't over the top nor too dramatic. He has a clear goal and wants to do right by others and putting a blade in whoever seems to think they're above the law of men.

I liked Final Fantasy 12 actually, and was pretty pissed it didn't get much representation in Dissidia, even though I don't have a PSP. Why do all the other numbered Final Fantasy titles get a hero and villain, but 11 and 12 get one character each, that don't even factor into the plot? They could have easily added Vaan or Balthier. Gabranth is a cool character, too, but I think Vayne might have worked better as the villain representing 12.

12 is one of the only Final Fantasy games I've actually had the chance to play through completely, so forgive me if I'm getting a little worked up, haha.

Anyway, I'll probably be purchasing XIII when I get some cash together. I can't really make a good judgment on it without playing it, but even if it's not great it'll probably be at least passable.
From what I've seen, it's looking fiiiine.

Maybe not on par with other final fantasies, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad or should be rented.

And disc switching on Xbox = PS1 nostalgia, so don't think too hard about which version to get. Just get it.

I dislike FF2 because of the awful levelup system.
the level-up system was one of the few good ideas it had going for it. Why bother hating it?

HI I'M LAYLE
I think I'm getting FFIII tomorrow since I found out I have more money in the bank than I last thought, So FFIII all saturday and Pokemon SS all Sunday. Sounds like a weekend to me.
layle would've been a way better character if he had stayed in that fine fine suit through the entire game
