I'd like to reserve Tympole (Gen V)
The OP says it's not reserved, but again it might have been missed

EDIT: i have tried but I can't
Sorry, just too advanced to me at this point
Hi, I signed up for TSR just to work here! I made Lilipup, I hope I have dithering down...

I'm sorry to tell you this, but your sprites aren't in style with the others. Please, learn something about spriting before contributing.
If you are saying mine are bad, look at some of thd contributions on this thread. Especially Cherrim.

There's a reason that one wasn't added into the first post.

To be frank, your sprites are dreadful. You have no understanding of shape or form, or how light and colour works. Good sprites are like art, you can't just drop in and expect to create a masterpiece. It takes time and practice.

Oh, and yours are a lot worse than the Cherrim.
i am left to wonder why the fuck people loves to dither that much.

It's the same reason why people abuse gradients, because dithering is basically just that with a (very) limited palette. It takes a while to realize it's ugly.

*This does not mean gradients and dithering can't be done right.

I have seen both used to great effect, however it is very difficult to do so, and not something a beginner can do without extensive guidance.

That's why I added the word 'abuse'.

The dithering on Mincinno makes his body really hard to read. Dithering may seem like a neat trick, but do not underestimate the power of solid.
The line art can also use some improvement.

I know. I was backing up your point.

The same is true of the other sprite, by the way. The lines are very square and difficult to read, and the dithering does nothing to help.
I call for shinx!
Well good luck Big Grin

This is my second attempt I still don't entirely understand how to shade very well with the 2 color restriction (excluding black and white). So I figured Dewott would be a decent starting point considering it has 2 main colors.
