I took a shot at M&L3 style. I never really tried it before, and I was curious. I spent a few days on these, and I have doubts about some....

I only really think Prince Peasley, Lady Lima and Cackletta are good, but I'm not entirely sure....All the credits are fore the models I used, like the M&L3 ones and the original M&L ones...
why my you are totally right, a bunch of re-sized and edited sprites are completely custom =/
I never said these were completely custom............And I did not just re-size anything, or edit anything. I made these looking at official sprites.......Like psycho Kamek, I looked at a magikoopa in M&L3, and tried to make a similar shape, but not exact. I mean, Cackletta does look like a re-size and a re-color, but I actually tried to re-make the shape to keep the look of the character to be close to similar.......
just because your saying that these are not completely custom does not exempt the fact that they're still edits that are pretty re-sized.

that and I should add that these are hardly even in M&L 3 style

now good day
thanks a lot op i was eating cereal when i read this and now my screen is covered in milk and fruit loops

warn me before you make me laugh that hard next time god damn
also most of these dont even look like the same characters

which is weird considering the original ones are right there
Well, I DID say I'm trying this style for a FIRST TIME....I never said I would be good.....or that I was......I only said I wanted to try it..........Obviously, I am not that good then. :/
Just to ask, which ones don't look like the original character? I know the Starshade bros because I know that those are pretty bad.....and Queen Bean.....
all of them

all of them don't look like who they're supposed to be
he did say he never did them before, so its quite easy to asume he has no experience and that they are bad. and he does asume they are bad too, so why are so excited.

rather than trolling, i'd have someone who knows about the styule point out what is missing and why this is far from being "in style".
Thanks....And that is exactly true....I didn't think these were very good, like....at all...That is why I posted them in Sprite Discussion...so someone who knows the style can tell me what I'm doing so wrong.....

congratulations metaru!
you are the first poster in the past month or so that required me to post competently to come off as "not trolling"

this has very little to do with the style right now though

it has much more to do with the fact that before he should even attempt trying to get these 'in style', he should learn how to keep intact all of the features that make these characters.. these characters.

right now it looks as if he's simply drawn all of them from memory(which is weird because as I said before the originals are right there) and then just added the ugly ML style aa on the outlines of all of them. too many people assume they can just take the colors from any given ML game and then aa the outside and BAM it's in style

on top of all that, ML style is something that too many people who know jack shit about spriting try. it may look like something that's easy to do, but being able to pull off the shit that's done in this style requires someone much more skill than the amount of skill in the average fuckwit who tries this style

is that non-trolling and straightforward enough for you metaru
was it too mean?
i'd give you a 7 just because you're from michigan and for the gif.
