i did a doodle (rightio) that didn't come out very well in the scanner but i decided to sprite it

The angles and the highlights don't seem right, and the shading's a bit messy but I guess all that's due to it being an early WIP. Reminds me a bit of Evangelion actually! Good luck with finishing it!

also, I think you should make a stick figure first than making pieces on the go.

I think making is piece by piece is a really bad idea. I suggest blotting out all the colors first and then going into the fine details or sketching out the whole body. It's going to end up looking really bad if it continues like this :.

that part circled in pink isn't facing the same way as the torso, and looks very strange. You need to align that piece with the rest of the sprite.
