Ummm a sort of alternative Pokemon universe where the Pokemon have evolved to the point where they're warring over their own selfish wants, like humans.

Basically what I create when I'm fadeddd. (High)
i like the designs on the second last one. Cute3
not trying to sound like a dick for free, but those are quite boring and lifeless desings.
Care to elaborate besides how boring they are, explain why they're boring. Or else it's not gonna help me out, cause lets be honest, if you aren't gonna give me some advice then shut the fuck up.
the shading is plain and oversaturated at certain points, the characters show no expression or dinamism at all, the desings itself are quite generic and/or really common. the pokemon's antialiasing is overdone, to a point some of them look blurry and almost pillowshaded. the mix between oversaturated colors and overantialiasing creates an effect of them being sickly.

of the whole things you're posted, these two characters standing next to the bases are the best of the set. they're simple, and even one of them isnt even finished. but they show more attitude and personality than anything else on the post.
Honestly those are the only ones that matter to me, so I'm glad that you said that about those two, but yeah, I agree about the over saturation on the pokemon, but those are also my oldest.. And the character graphics that you liked are actually for a "game" idea that correlates with the groups of enemies I made.
Decent work here, but the colors seem to be a bit over saturated on nearly everything. Also some of them definitely need more contrast (especially the first ones). the combination of these two things makes them all look kinda dull.

also a good deal of your work is pillow shaded. not drastically, but noticeably.

your line art is good for the most part :>

just because you're too incompetent to reanalyze your own artwork after slightly unclear advice has been given doesn't mean no advice was given

See, I could stare at my art all day looking for ways to improve my sprite with or without people telling me they're boring, and trust me, I reanalyze my artwork all the time, the reason I ask for help is for others advice, not just rethinking the way I see it. I want legitimate advice that helps me with points of spriting I have not yet grasp. Not parts that my own eyes could see. That's the same reason everyone else want pointers, cause we want pointers that our own eyes don't see, and that other people notice. You're the incompetent one, not I.

UGH
I really hate when people are so stupid that they require me to start acting intelligently JUST so I can get my point across

>See, I could stare at my art all day looking for ways to improve my sprite with or without people telling me they're boring, and trust me, I reanalyze my artwork all the time, the reason I ask for help is for others advice, not just rethinking the way I see it
That's all fine and good, but it doesn't change the fact that "those are quite boring and lifeless desings" is perfectly valid advice

>I want legitimate advice that helps me with points of spriting I have not yet grasp.
Part of being an artist means having the ability to take an unanswered question and being able to find the answer, in this case the 'unanswered question' is vague advice. Judging from your overall cockiness (which in itself is incredibly undeserved because you're honestly not that great at this) and the thread title, I'd say you've been doing this for quite some time

which means you should already know how and what to take from vague and foggy advice. If you honestly still need to be spoon fed every little problem with your artwork before you see what's wrong with it, maybe it's time to ask yourself if it's really even worth doing anymore.

>Not parts that my own eyes could see. That's the same reason everyone else want pointers, cause we want pointers that our own eyes don't see, and that other people notice. You're the incompetent one, not I.
Wanting pointers are one thing, but getting pissy because someone didn't give 100% clear advice and instead left a comment that required you to exert effort in looking for problems with your art is completely unneeded and makes you look like a selfish douche. Everyone likes pointers, but it takes someone with balls to be able to take more from an insult than a nice comment that's more ass-kissing than it is advice.

That's for the most part, what artists are: people with balls

and one last thing
unclear and vague advice is infinitely more helpful than any other form of advice you will ever receive. This kind of advice requires you to really look at your work and ask the difficult questions. I'll take the comment that pissed you off as an example, these are the kind of questions you should have generated after reading it:

"What is wrong with that part?"
"How are these designs lifeless and boring?"
"How did I not notice these things myself?"
"Have I been staring at these two long to notice any problems myself"

that last one is always relevant even if no advice is given, you tend to miss problems with your work if you've been staring at them for very long. Step away from the work for even 20 minutes and focus on something else entirely, come back and you'll notice things you didn't before

tl;dr
get your head out of your ass
Well damn, that's some real advice, thank you. *Pulls head out of ass*
The designs are fairly good, rather the colour and lack of hue shifting seems to be what makes these unappealing to me. You could try shifting the main colour hues to various cool colour shades to give depth to the shadows. Changing the pose could help. Anyways, keep on pixel-pushing! You're doing good. Smile
