it would take a few modifications to the gameplay to make CC playable with a dPad, and you could easily do something like hold R and use the Dpad to spawn a line in front of kirby, for example.

however, its not the case of the thread, lets go back to Zelda.

will link save zelda, again?
I thought touch controls worked really well with a top down Zelda game. Nothing was uncomfortable. It felt right. I think its just that some people can't accept playing games in new ways even if it works right.

For me if it works right that's okay with me, I'm all for it.
I thought some Nintendo guy said something along the lines of 'if you want an idea of the swordplay in the next zelda game, play the fencing game in some [wii sports/resort/something]"

now, everything else withheld, I like Zelda a lot and I'm currently excited.
but uhh
please not another brown and grey mess

Cool
i actually liked tp's art style its just the brown and grey kind of killed it. with actual colour it would've looked quite rad
Not counting on a 2010 release, I'm expecting it to be delayed at least once
I think we should ask more

"what will be the plot gimmick this time?"

though I suppose that speculated Master Sword chick could fill that role...
lets hope its not going to be a remake of a previous zelda.

gimmick?
I've never seen Zelda games pulling a gimmick, each one is a delightful experience. I myself cant wait for this new zelda game for the wii.
TP was a giant gimmick

come on, half of those items you got didn't have uses outside of their respective dungeons

wolf link coulda been a lot better but it ended up being a pain in the ass that you would only use against those really fucking annoying enemies that you have to kill all at once or the one that's still alive will resurrect them

also FUCK MIDNA
I didn't see any problem with Midna. Its just the fans... You know.

Twilight Princess had its problems but it wasn't that bad.

I just hope they bring back the elemental arrows this time.

Aside from the fact that they made the ENTIRE GAME revolve around helping her bitch-ass out, and that Link may have never existed and she could have probably grabbed some random douchebag and nobody would care?

It was stupid.

Even GANONDORF didn't give a shit about Link. He was talking to Midna the whole time. It's like Link was never there. He was pretty much just used for slavery the entire game.
Tyvon: And if Link himself talked, the fans would still be pissed. Nothing will ever please the "hardcore" Zelda fans, whose wishes would do more to hold back the series than anything else.

I take this as Nintendo's full consent for me to burn down their fucking offices.
guys

um
i can think of no way this could work aside from

I think you're missing my point.
In the older Zelda games, the main villian always TALKED to Link. Threatened him, elaborated on their plans, etc. Hell, the Skull Kid in Majora's Mask recognized both Tatl AND Link as existing. Midna kinda just ran the game for you and told you what to do, and was pretty much the only character that mattered when she was introduced.
