Shouldn't feel dumb about fiction. You can make up whatever you want to believe.

But what I think they might have been implying at the end of Megaman 7 anyway was that Megaman had the capacity for murder. He tries to off Wily at the end of that game.

What I think REALLY happens is that something unknown happens to Megaman, and Dr. Light tries to build X and make him the perfect protector for humanity. I think.

Whereas Megaman is programmed to be an hero and literally go G.I. Joe agaisnt danger, X decides to whine about whats good and whats wrong in any given excuse thus making him being able to take decisions, commit mistakes and learn from them. hence why he's often considered to have unlimited potential, just like any other human.

yes i just pulled that out of my ass.

im pretty sure megaman having free will was like a lab accident or something and x had the whole limitless potential thing.
or maybe im just talking out my ass

this is technically correct
MMC had that advanced AI to some extent (he's actually a pacifist but chose to fight for Dr. Light; because of this, he goes all out on bad guys)

But Dr. Light perfected the technology, which is MMX. X can think for himself.

No sliding or chargeshots? No female robot masters? 9 looks better than this. The masters so far suck, it's like the ones from 7, Wily ran out of good parts and started making shitty bots. Bring back slides and charge shot, why would you take away something that improves the gameplay so much? I hope 11 is when the X universe comes into play too..

So far, the only news I got was just of Proto Man, Mega Man, Sheep Man, Commando Man and that Robotenza. Outside that, nothing is confirmed, or did the Nintendo Power issue revealed those things?

I do believe that Protoman has the Charged Shots and the Slide.

yeah but it won't be incorporated into level design thus making it pretty much useless and protoman even suckier despite him being by far the most badass mmclassic character
