I've never played TF2 or Left 4 Dead on a PC, so playing them with an Xbox controller is no inconvenience to me. I've pretty much always been a console gamer, but I guess that might be because I've never really been able to get my hands on a PC that can run "current gen" games.
Anyway.
Left 4 Dead 2 is pretty awesome, the one complaint that I can think of is that they didn't implement the original survivors in any way. (I like them more than the sequel's characters) Being able to unlock them to play as would have been nice.

Timesplitters feels amazing on a controller.
Probably the only game that's worse playing on a keyboard and mouse is GoW because it was developed specifically for the Xbox and later ported to the PC; as such, the game was designed to be played using a conroller.
Same with Halo, but to a lesser extent as it's more of a traditional FPS than a tactical 3PS.

Console RTSes are retarded.
FPSes are understandable, but RTSes are just plain dumb.
If it isn't on the DS or PC (excluding Mech Platoon on the GBA and Warlocked on the GBC) it's a stupid idea.
RTSes are designed for computers because the mouse allows you to micromanage easily. A joystick just can't give you the same level of control.
Yet Halo: Wars was a very successful title and was obviously for the 360.
But I agree that RTS games are even more superior on PC than FPS games are.
