Assist Trophies and Pokemon
There is in brawl, so I dont see why not

... Name one for me Aura because I'm pretty sure there isn't a 3rd party AT without a playable character representing the series. Every AT is either 1st or 2nd party characters with the exception of Gray Fox and Shadow.
Strive for victory. Vanquish defeat. And always pack the extra 1up.

Oh, Crap, sorry, I thought you meant second party. My Bad!

I wanted to propose a Assist Trophy. I call him Mii-Yamoto. He could a Mii-ized Miyamoto with a green shirt(with one up on) and link's sword and shield (or wiimote and nunchuck) and run on screen. Either run and trip, or attack with wiimote/sword.

Well heck, why not cut the Mii part and just have the big man himself show up?

Seriously though, I'm all for this idea.

In the Fantasy Smash Bros project, he was going to be a playable character, but we can have him be an assist.
He needs some kind of powerful attack though.

How about him holding out a 3DS and having a slew of his creations spew out? (Master Sword from LoZ, Barrel from Donkey Kong, cars from F-Zero, ships from Starfox, and Koopa Shells from Mario) Each one could deal massive damage, effectively making him like a final smash.

Not the best idea, but an idea nonetheless.

How about 3DS and Wii (connected to a TV screen of course) and several bits and pieces fly out with different attacks and abilities?

Epic Miyamoto Damage!

Maybe he could show up and attack in ways based off of classic games. Throwing 8bit barrels and what not.

I like that idea. If we did do Miyamoto, would we use the original sprites from the classic games, or edit them, or create an all-new one?

If we're going to use him, if a pipe came out and a bunch of 8-bit objects from a bunch of NES games spewed out, I'd be cool with it.

Yeah, so we all know I'm a pretty lame spriter. I'm just trying to learn, and I thought the best way to do so is to start small. So yeah, I tried my hand at a little Whacka sprite. Big Grin

The one on the right has a black outline, and the one on the left has dark colored outlines. I wasn't sure which to choose, seeing as the current style consists of mostly black outlines.. so yeah, whichever. Same deal with the Whacka Bump, too.

So basically, you hit the whacka and it releases a little whacka bump, which heals a small amount of health. You can do this eight times, before it dies.

They'd be quite rare, seeing as apparently they're an endangered spe[/align]cies? :/

I thought that was a diglett then!

Anyway, i think the one on the right looks better, but it does, as you said, need touching up. However this is a nice start!

Hahaha, I remember that thing. Its been forever since I played that game.

There's actually a description for him already, but there weren't any sprites yet and yours looks great. For stylistic reasons I think you should go with the sprites on the right with the black outline since everything besides a few special cases like the Luigi's Mansion ghosts has a black outline.
