There is too much banding, you could also use some more interesting colors.

You got nice lines though. But yeah the colors could be better. I have a hard time finding the right palette myself.

If you do happen to find a good palette please post it, please, please, please. I have no idea how to shade this guy.. Sad
EDIT: Here are the lines for Skuntank, and a quick little Luxray head I did in about 3 seconds using his own palette.
