How To Submit
#1
Many new members often seem to be confused about how to go about submitting a sheet/model/texture/sound onto the site, since it's not immediately obvious. This is fair enough, but quite often we have to write out answers explaining how to go about it. I decided that, instead of doing that every time, I may as well make a fully explanatory how-to on doing it on the wiki. Hopefully new members will see this and it will mitigate the number of people asking how to submit.

Here's the link: http://wiki.vg-resource.com/wiki/How_To_Submit

Happy submitting!

Hello! I've submitted my second Virtual Boy Wario Land sprite sheet for approval, however I don't see any link for a sheet icon template. Any assistance?

On the page with instructions there's a link to What Makes A Good Submission/The Spriters Resource which explains, among other things, making sheet icons. They're just 148x125 images with transparent backgrounds, the border and such is displayed automatically by the site.

How do I add images via url link before submitting the sprite sheet?

If you have the sheet uploaded somewhere else, you can just use the URL text box when submitting and paste the URL of the sheet there. The server will download it automatically.

Hi, I just joined today, and I had made some hack Sprites to streets of rage 2. I read the spriter section of the wiki above, but I guess I just wanted a little clarification on this:

So I have 2 sets of sprites, the original ones that I made and the ones that got pixelated when I added it to the game for a hack I did.

would that be okay if I could add both versions or should it just be the one I have within the hack itself?

Sorry for seeming so confusing, but I just don't want to get banned or supsended, especially on the first day.
It happens :/

Hi! I was just wondering about how long you usually have to wait for a submission to be approved? I hope I'm not coming off as impatient or anything.  Embarassed Embarassed

So, I've read both links. Where do i go to actually submit a sheet? Is this doable on the mobile version of the site?

Are there any details on how we submit a revision to an already existing sprite sheet? Do we just submit a new request or is there a different path?

There is a revise button on the info box on the sheet. It's shaped like a pencil. When you click on that you are sent to a revision screen where you can submit your revision.

Ah, ok. Thanks, Spriter Theo, that's exactly what I needed. I completely missed the tiny pencil button Nerd
