How I can rip 3d models from the ds game "spectrobes"?
#1
I have opened the game, but I've found only some strange file.
What extension have the 3d models of this game?
With which program I can open the models?
thank for the answer.Smile

Oh, oh, I know this! XD

So, you extract the files with "Tahaxan"
The 3D model files are of the extension .nsbmd
You open them with the nsbmd tool
Bring up "3D Via Printscreen"
The model should be up in the nsbmd tool now
press the rip hotkey on 3D Via
It should go into your documents in a folder
find it
convert it with either the 3DS max plugin or the blender plugin (The 3DS max plugin being the best)

and it should be there! Smile 3DS max can rip the textures easy, so I prefer it. So.. That's it. Tell me if you do not understand something Smile

You mostly have to look for them. Some games they are very very hidden. Wink

Afaik certain games use custom formats for their asset files. Like when I tried to rip the Kit Kittredge player model off Kit's Mystery Challenge. None of the model-ripping programs work, and it didn't help that the files are packed in an exotic format.

As blake said, most games archive their games into their own format, so that the data remains unextractable. Until someone writes an extractor of course.
