Just started Pokemon Spriting.
#1
So yeah I've been looking for tutorials on how to sprite pokemon but all I found were splicing tuts so i came here
And since a good chunk of people here are pokemon fans/spriters, I figured this was the best choice.
I made a pokemon for the first time and I've been figuring I need some help with this.

What's it need? Shading? or Better colours? I dunno, some help from people with pokemon experience would be nice.

His shading takes up too much space.
His legs are too fat.
His pose is all wrong (come on, its a part fighting-type.)
He is too dark.
his teeth are rather large.

Other than that, good work!

Well, I don't wanna change the pose becuase I don't want him in a battle ready position, I just want him relaxing and just chiling out, plus i will go for what I'm using it for.
However, I did follow everything else.

Hopefully better, I reduced myself to 4 shades each color or less.
