Anyone speak Japanese? (MM8 8-bit project)
#1
There's a Japanese team doing Mega Man 8 in 8-bits. They have almost all the characters and bosses completed and most of the stages. i'd love to get in contact with them to see if they'd mind our hosting their work. Links are here. The stages link is particularly image-heavy, so beware.

Misc stuff including Bass, MM1 Robot Masters, and enemies
Bosses Tengu, Astro, Sword, etc.
Stages HUGE images. Beware. Also includes tiles.
Stage Hazards
Misc stuff 2 Title, pixel art, weapons, etc.

Woah. It's pretty far in now. I LOVE that Frost Man sheet.

Do you know if there's any progress on the Rockman Rockman FC/ Megaman Powered Up NES project?

Sorry but I have no idea. Maybe Deathbringer or MagicMaker?
Or we can try to ask in English and hope there's somebody in there that speaks in English (or at least Engrish)

EDIT: Contact page: http://www31.atwiki.jp/rockman8/contact

あなたのお名前 -> What's your name
あなたのメールアドレス -> Your e-mail
件名 -> Parts name (?) Maybe subject?
本文 -> This (?) maybe 'your message'?

After that, just regular captcha

I don't actually speak the language, I only know enough to get through games and stuff.

And the last two are Subject and Body.
Doofenshmirtz: This is a little bit awkward but have you seen my escape jet keys? (Perry nods) What, you have? Well that's great! So where are they? (Perry looks away) You won't tell me? Is this because you don't speak or are you just being a jerk?

I can read katakana and hiragana(not kanji, though Defeated), but I won't know what they mean.

Is there a name for this enemy or a stage in which he appears? Looks interesting.

Bliking and Wily Tower Stage 2 boss. It's a portmanteau of blik (a Japanese dictionary I use says it's Dutch for tin plate) and king.

Thx, I'm currently playing this game, seems to be my new favorite MM-game Heart
By the way, I found a sprite sheet at sprites-inc, but the assembling is not very useful. Maybe I will re-rip him, I like this look-a-like satellite =)

Same here. I gave up on Japanese classes because I didn't had the time, and the kumon method is boring and tiresome :/

So, is anybody trying to write something to them? Even in English?
What about like
"Hi, I'm _______ from The Spriters Resource ( http://www.spriters-resource.com/ ). We saw your work and we wondered if you guys are interested in sharing the sprite sheets at our site."
Maybe a "Sorry my poor Japanese" or "Sorry about the message being in English, I can't speak Japanese" followed by "Thanks for your time"

;p
Of course, "sorry my poor Japanese" only if you feel necessary

Or if you (or anybody) have a better idea for the message, be my guest
