Yeah, the legs are going to be swaying a bit. I just wanted to see what it looked like so far

RE: Mewtwo
I think the flick of the whole tail is good and that's what he should do. The whipping around of just the tip seems odd. When he moves the tail it should be slower. And like they said, the legs should shift at least a little. Good job so far though.

You should add Luigi's Thunderhand to Mario attack.

Ton's most wanted: Gnat Attack (Mario Paint, SNES), Chrono Cross portraits (Playstation), Time Splitters 2 Models (Gamecube, PS2), Final Fantasy 4 Models (DS)

The tail-flicking uses way to many shortcuts. Most noticeably when he's simply wagging the tail. The base of the tail should move too.

I think the "Thank" button is a lame feature.
It gives people a means to not actually contribute to a discussion while still acknowledging that they read the post.
In a community that tends to claim that critique is more important than complements, these "thanks" feel pretty hallow to me.

RE: Mewtwo
Yeah, I don't think we need the wagging. Mewtwo is more controlled than that. Maybe it can just bob up and down with him and shift a little bit that way.

You should add Luigi's Thunderhand to Mario attack.

RE: Mewtwo
originally it was just a tail flick, but then I realized it'd look really odd if it just froze atfer a flick, and even worse if it just flicked like that continuously. It wasn't meant to be wagging as much as the tail just sort of drifting back and forth a little. I guess I exaggerated it too much.

Yeah, I think the long full-tail flick would be good if he did it muuuuuch slower and if you left the small tail-wagging out completely. It makes him seem much cooler. Not in an aesthetic way, but in his mentality.

You should add Luigi's Thunderhand to Mario attack.

RE: Mewtwo
Ok so an update. Got rid of the blinking and the flick for now, just so I can get the main floating down right. Before I move onto the legs, how does the tail movement look now? I also slowed it down a bit in my animation program so it would come out slower here.

Looks pretty great. Just need to think about how the rest of his body would shift now. Tongue It's awesome so far.

RE: Mewtwo
The part of his tail right before the end looks like it stays in exactly the same spot all the time, and it looks like its thickness goes between thin and thick. Otherwise, it's good (again)...

That sheet is in a different style.

Plus, I was going to remake Mewtwo, using my Floating Mewtwo (back on Pg. 4...) as a base (obviously bigger, and using Sel-out)

RE: Mewtwo
Well I was working on this, and I had some ideas in mind to make him float. But then I realized that really, the physics of his attacks don't really work with him floating. With his tilts and Smashes, he balances himself with his feet (like spinning to whip with his tail or slashing his arms to use psycho cut (my idea for a new forward smash)). When he floats, his feet just hang there, so he can't use them to lean on. it's look weird if he just twirled in a circle to whip with his tail. it Melee, he kept his footing and just twisted his body.

I also don't think the folded arms thing works, either. If he's constantly folding them and unfolding them for attacks, it'll look awkward.

RE: Mewtwo
Do you think so? I think the folded arms and floating makes him look aloof and badass. Like he's bored with his opponent.

You should add Luigi's Thunderhand to Mario attack.

RE: Mewtwo
Yeah that's true. But Just the way he needs to move for attacks, it's not very practical. Imagine if you had your arms folded all of the time. Everytime you went do open a door, or pick up a pencil, you had to unfold and refold them. Or if you were on the computer, and you were typing. Every time you pressed a key, you had to fold your arms before you could press another one. It just doesn't work very well.

We could make it work, but I just don't think it would look good.

As for floating, I was reading the Pokemon Adventures Manga, in which Mewtwo played a somewhat important part in the RB, Y, and FRLG sagas. When he attacked, he materialized a giant spoon and used it swung it like a sword to shoot Psychic energy from. I'm not suggesting that he fight with a big spoon in this game, but when he fought in the manga, he went all out. He's still badass, but his feet are planted on the ground to stabilize him. He's concentrating all of his power on fighting, not on floating. I just think from logical standpoint, it makes no sense to have him float or have his arms folded.
