Did drawing sprites on the NES take a lot of creativity?

It's more "emulators aren't perfect," than glitched tiling. I could be wrong but the best way to determine is to get screen shots of the PC version. Not the original one, but the one that also had Simon's Quest, Dracula's Curse, Contra, and Super C. If said discrepancies occurs there, then I'm wrong and Theou's assessment would be correct.

It does make me wonder if it occurs in the FDS and MSX versions too.

Just checked the MSX version and it doesn't use the same sprites.
