Looking at Dazz's posts it reminds me when Bacon used to runs things. We mostly made Customs sprites then. A lot of them did it based on what they needed for their Sprite Comics and Flash Animations. Yeah we weren't ashamed to do those things! "What? There's no Sheik sprites?" and we'd get to work!

There was motivation!

Slowly but surely people stopped making Customs, because people stopped making Sprite Comics and stuff. Then it was all about rips. I never respected rips like Customs. To me, Customs showed true talent and they were often made with purpose. Now when I see rips most of the time they are things I can't image someone using.

Who the hell is going to use these?


Ahem anyway, I hope the changes around here might bring a Customs revolution!

the only correct part of this is that customs are better effort-wise

not to say most the customs from that time were shitty as hell. For example Cironus' sprites or those Starfox people with Megaman bodies
