Yeah, I also think that we should stick to the company's as the categories, for finding things, it just seems way more organized, then by system. Cool, new ideas though.

@Flare: It was just an example. Chances are nobody would know a release date over the title, but having more information and searching options can't hurt any. It's hard to say what information people might find useful.
Also, not all details would be filled in on every game. Such, like Dazz said, some of the other games wouldn't have all the info present.

It looks nice, better than the current one. I never likes the gradients on the current one, as the black parts look kinda bleached where they turn white, whereas the gradient on "Resource" looks bad as it's only like a white and a black stripe put over it and blurred, whatever). The new one looks better, I like the 3D-effect. Thought I'm not sure with the white 'light-effect' put over it, I don't really like such things.

I just hired a professional coder from my city, in order for me to properly do the system right and such.
The design will be by me, but the coding will be by him.

If he wants help with things, I'll get him to ask and I'll post here to tell you guys what's needed.

Really, the community can help at the moment by making section tags for all games on the site - however, we have to wait for Tonberry to list all games on the site at the moment.

I have an idea about how to organize the sprites. It might be useful to organize similar to how Nintendo organizes Virtual Console games. The sorts, System, Company, Genre. For example, say you're looking for sprites from Golden Sun, you could search:

Genre>RPG>Golden Sun
System>Gameboy Advance>Golden Sun
Company>Nintendo>Other>Golden Sun (Current sort)

And an idea for the logo. Similar to your design, but a bit different.
I know it's a bit small, but I'm sure it won't be the final product.

Eh y'know you could always have the low-fi version be listed by system and the higher version be listed by company. That way you can please everybody.

Or just allow for selectable categorization. Similar to how you can organize your files by type, name, and other criteria.

I don't like the black letters for non-clickable ones, I'd prefer a darker tone of the red.
Besides that, nice Ideas so far.

With the search feature, there shouldn't be need for selective company categorization as you would be able to search by company as well (that should be in, I'd say), right? [Expanded search]
