All the items that must be worn (Bunny hat, Franklin badge, Ect...) require us making more sprites, as well is they take up plenty of much needed space in the game.

So rather then just spriting them onto the characters and then inserting, whoever is programing (?) should just program
a little icon onto their status bar like when you have a dragoon piece. That way, we still have that space that gets taken up by un-needed sprites.

Opinions?
That's

kinda lame.

It works for things like Franklin Badge and Screw Attack, maybe. But things that are more obvious to the eye like the bunny hood should be separate sprites. This has already been discussed in the Kirby topic; just create a separate sprite for the item and have it move synchronized with the sprite.

Oh yeah, forgot about that...

Yeah, so I guess it's fine as it is then.

RE: ITEMS!
Replace cloaking device with some shield device. Same as with the cloaking device, no damage is dealt, knockback is still in effect, only now without invisibility.

RE: ITEMS!
Make the screw attack a in sphere form again. It was so much better in melee because you could throw it at a player once you were done.
Also if we do items from Franchises I got a few ideas.

Sonic - Item Box (Usually can be Rings that replenish your health, a shield that stops one attack but doesn't last a long time, or If you get Eggman's Face it will explode as soon as you touch it.)
Megaman - E Tank or M Tank (Probably both the same thing it heals your Energy to a somewhat extent.
Snake - Trying to think on that one...

That's about it.

IMO... Gooey Bomb, Smart Bomb, Deku Nut, Cloaking Device, Red Shell, Bunny Hood, Superspicy Curry, Bumper, and Dragoon all need nerfing/removal (in the case of the Red Shell, nerfing/continued absence). The Golden Hammer seems unnecessary as well.

RE: ITEMS!
I'd change the Red Shell so that it acts like a Red Koopa.

Instead of following the opponent the Red Shell goes straight but once it reaches the edge it turns around just like the Koopa it came from.

I like that idea. What about using the checkpoint in sonic from green hill zone as an item?

RE: ITEMS!
Sonic's item could be a ring. It's iconic enough. But I'm not sure if it could be either a healing attack or a bomb (when it hits someone, it electrifies them. So I suppose it can't be called a bomb)

How about a F-Zero item?

There doesn't need to be an item from every character. Especially if there's a whole bunch of things that do that already. I'm not saying I'm against it having some new items, but they should do something that isn't already done by an item that's in the game. As for an F-Zero item, is there really anything from that game that would make sense as an item in a SSB game?

RE: ITEMS!
We're gonna need riding poses for the animals anyway; wouldn't be too hard to put a riding sprite inside an F-Zero car. They could function just like Wario's bike, but instead everybody can use them!

I dunno, I'm just coming up with crazy ideas at this point.
