It would probably be a good idea to make sure each duel had deadlines, too, so people don't end up dropping out. It's probably unlikely people will drop out from a duel anyway, though, since there's only two people participating.

i remember quite a few duels which people dropped out of...

but i'd love to see the duels board reawakened though

yeah now that you mention it i can remember that happening too, but for some reason i think dropping out of a duel would feel like even more of a dick move than dropping out of something like tugs, since you'd inevitably be letting somebody down (whereas in a bigger competition dropping out wouldn't feel as bad since there are a ton of participants)
