Computer won't get IP address automatically
#1
I have this problem with my problems-top (it is a laptop but all of the parts are actually thousands of tiny problems) where it won't get an IP address automatically.

So every time I start up the computer, I have to go to my Wireless Network Connection properties and edit the TCP/IP settings. http://i.imgur.com/vVCKu.jpg

Even though when I start up the computer, these settings are still in there, I have to change the last number in the IP and close it to connect. I know it's not the same issue as when it has the same IP as another computer on the network, because then it has a little pop-up notification about an IP conflict.

I really want to be able to just set it to "Obtain IP address automatically" like on my other computers, but when I do that, it can't connect to the internet. It's connected to the network, so the computer doesn't recognize any problems, but Skype disconnects and web pages don't load.
Quick edit: When I do set it to "Obtain IP address automatically", it won't connect to the internet BUT when I open Command Prompt and enter "ipconfig /all" I can see that all the values for the Wireless Network Connection are exactly the same as when I enter them in myself and they work.
