Daemon Tools won't work since ROMs aren't the same as ISOs. Doing that is literally like trying to stick a DS cartridge in a CD drive 
You should use Tinke to rip files from DS ROMs, but keep in mind that not all games have recognised formats and might have currently unusable files. However I would suggest checking out reblueyellow's DS Ripping Guide for help on how to rip stuff from DS games.
